This is an election cup from Fruitas. This clearly shows who got my vote today. And I really do hope he wins because I believe that his fear of God will give him a right decision to lead according to the benefit of his countrymen.

labor of love

How cute! I am being bias because this is truly a labor of love. I did this stuff toy because this is my daughter's project. And I can proudly say that all effort has been given to this project. You see, I don't have a sense of direction. I can easily get loss in any place. But I bravely went to Tabora and Ilaya Street at Divisoria 'ALONE' to find the cloth for this project during my lunch hour at work. Luckily, i didn't got loss and I found the cloth. I started working on the project when I went home. I worked on it until 4:30 am. And then I woke up at 5:15 am because my child had to go to school and we have to go to work. In short, I haven't slept at all. But it's all worth it because I know that what I did will give my child a very good feeling. When I saw her smile upon seeing the octopus toy I felt fulfillment. She thank me for what I did and admire my work. That is all that matter.

i have fallen in love

Here is a copy of Ninoy's poem for Cory. I am inspired to post this after watching the MMK special on Ninoy and Cory's love story. I believe that their love is a true love that transcends time and trials. Very inspiring....

I have fallen in love

with the same woman three times;

In a day spanning 19 years

of tearful joys and joyful tears.

I loved her first when she was young,

enchanting and vibrant, eternally new.

She was brilliant, fragrant,

and cool as the morning dew.

I fell in love with her the second time;

when first she bore her child and mine

always by my side, the source of my strength,

helping to turn the tide.

But there were candles to burn

the world was my concern;

while our home was her domain.

and the people were mine

while the children were hers to maintain;

So it was in those eighteen years and a day.

’till I was detained; forced in prison to stay.

Suddenly she’s our sole support;

source of comfort,

our wellspring of Hope.

On her shoulders felt the burden of Life.

I fell in love again,

with the same woman the third time.

Looming from the battle,

her courage will never fade

Amidst the hardships she has remained,

undaunted and unafraid.

she is calm and composed,

she is God’s lovely maid.

friday quotes

'Don't mistake activity for achievement. Busyness does not equal productiveness.'

This quote is from 'God's Devotional Book' which is what I'm currently reading. It really hits the spot. The last year has been a very, very, very busy year for me because of my new employer. After reading my current chapter of this book I came across with this phrase and it made me think. I realize that I've been working very hard, neglecting rest, seldom goes to church and depriving my family of their much deserved vacation, but still I am not able to achieve my goals for last year. The house still isn't finished which is supposed to be my priority and a lot of things are left hanging. Anyways, I am hoping for a better year this 2010 and a more relax one.

When I am not working, I am farming, cooking, feeding my fishes and answering nonsense questions on FB. But, in fairness, my network of friends increases everyday. It benefited me in regards with my work.
